Opioid Overdose Prevention
Funded by the New York State Department of Health, AIDS Institute, the Columbia County Department of Health (CCDOH) serves as one of the Community Opioid Overdose Prevention (COOP) Programs in Columbia County, NY. Through this program, CCDOH provides free opioid overdose reversal trainings and supplies (i.e., nasal Naloxone, known as Narcan) to the community and partner organizations. CCDOH also provides other harm reduction services such as medication disposal pouches, Fentanyl and Xylazine testing strips and appropriate education through grant funding that is received.
